The wedding of King Constantine, born in 1940 and king of Greece 1964-1973. He married Princess Anne-Marie, youngest daughter of Frederik IX of Denmark. In April 1967 the 'Colonels' military junta took power and the king fled to Rome in December. He was formally deposed in June 1973 and the monarchy was abolished by national referendum in 1974. King Constantine II Marries Princess Anne Marie Constantine II, King of Greece, with his 18-year-old bride, Princess Anne Marie of Denmark, after their wedding. Among the wedding party are (fg, l to r) the bride's mother, Queen Ingrid of Denmark, Queen Frederika, the Queen Mother, and Gustav Adolf, the King of Sweden.

She is one of my favorite brides, so beautiful. Yet, so young. I hear that they were engaged when she was 17? But that the engagment was not allowed (Frederek IX ) because her daddy didnt want her to be engaged so young? Anyone have any other info on this? I believe that they married just after she turned 18.
She was so young, and yet looked so beautiful and radient. Thank You Julia for posting these!
